Laconia Firefighters Quell Early Morning Multiple Alarm Apartment Fire

At 0435 hours, on June 21, 2008, the Laconia Fire Department responded to a reported fire in a multiple unit apartment building at 322 Union Avenue. Arriving firefighters found fire in the first floor rear apartment extending to the second floor apartment and roof. Additional alarm were requested bringing outside communities to the scene.

Two injuries, including a firefighter were reported and transported to Lakes Region General Hospital.

The cause of the fire has been listed as incendiary and the Laconia Fire Department, Laconia Police and the NH State Fire Marshal's Office are investigating.
