LACONIA WALKING & ACTIVITY GUIDE

The City of Laconia now has a walking and activity guide for our residents to be fit in Laconia. The guide shows walking routes from each of our park houses and activities offered in each park and the Laconia Community Center. The guide may be picked up at Laconia Parks & Recreation office during normal office hours (8:30am-12:00 / 1:00-4:30pm).

BEACHES

Beaches are open from June 22 ~ September 2, 2013 from 9~5 pm daily and closed on rain days.
Bond Beach is a Resident & Taxpayer Only beach and passes must be acquired from the City Clerks office in order to enter.  The cost is $15.00 for one pass and $25.00 for two.  Two is the limit per household.  This pass also allows you to park at Weirs Beach parking lot for FREE, provided there is space available.  Swim lessons are given at Bond Beach and Opechee Point.  During swim lessons both Bond Beach and Opechee Point Beach are closed for public swimming.

PEANUT CARNIVAL

July 18, 2013 ~ rain date July 19, 2013 from 5:00~7:00pm
Opechee Park~  Open to the public
This event is a popular one each for kids and adults.  The kids from the day camp design a game, and they decide how many peanuts to charge for their games.  You will need to buy a bag of peanuts to play the games and there will be a refreshments for sale.  We also have peanut alternatives for those with peanut allergies.  Come join in on the fun.
