Assessor: The City of Laconia is seeking a highly motivated, organized and customer service oriented individual for the position of Assessor. The Assessor is responsible for administration and maintenance of records of the City's assessing functions including inventory, appraisal and assessment of all taxable property and listing and issuance of warrants for collection of taxes. Dept. of Public Works - Seasonal Maintenance Position: The City of Laconia Public Works Department is seeking a highly motivated individual to perform seasonal roadway and sidewalk maintenance. This individual is to accomplish street and sidewalk hand-sweeping, weeding, garbage pickup and other general "aesthetic" streetscape maintenance in three (3) key pedestrian and vehicular focal points in Laconia. These focal points, Downtown Laconia, Elm St./Lakeport Square and Lakeside Ave./Weirs Boardwalk will need to be maintained on a daily basis. Vehicle and tools will be provided. Parks & Recreation: The City of Laconia Parks & Recreation Department is seeking seasonal employees for the 2016 season as follows: Beach Supervisor ($13 to $14.50/hour); Certified Lifeguards ($11 to $12.50/hour); Weirs Beach Collectors ($10 to $10.75/hour); Bond Beach Attendant ($8 to $8.75/hour) and Camp Counselors ($9.50 to $11/hour). Parks & Recreation: The City of Laconia Parks & Recreation Department is seeking seasonal maintenance employees for the 2016 season. These are full time temporary/seasonal positions performing routine grounds maintenance, landscaping and facility maintenance throughout the City. The ideal candidate should have knowledge in landscaping and experience in the following, but not limited to: mowing, bark mulching, weeding, string trimming, and general landscape maintenance. Positions available April through October. Starting pay $11/hr to $13/hr depending on experience. Project Manager: The Laconia Water Department is seeking an individual to fill a permanent full-time position performing highly responsible work in the planning, organizing and directing of department projects. Salary range: $22.59-$28.18/hour, with full benefit package. Requirements: Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Engineering or related field. Applicant should possess strong organizational, communication and computer skills. Have knowledge of GIS/GPS, utility construction and equipment or possess any combination of education and prior job knowledge to meet these requirements. Must live within 20 minutes of Laconia and be available for emergency response. References are required.
