LACONIA WALKING & ACTIVITY GUIDE
The City of Laconia now has a walking and activity guide for our residents to be fit in Laconia. The guide shows walking routes from each of our park houses and activities offered in each park and the Laconia Community Center. The guide may be picked up at Laconia Parks & Recreation office during normal office hours (8:30am-12:00 / 1:00-4:30pm).

FAMILY PUMPKIN CARVING NIGHT

$8.00 per pumpkin
Pumpkins will be provided.
Just bring your scary imagination!!
Must register & pay by October 18 and tell us how many pumpkins your family will need.
We will bag your seeds for baking if you wish!!

   
   

PUMPKIN GLOW WALK
Friday, October 24th starting at 6pm
WOW Trail satrting in North Main Street entrance
We will be walking part of the WOW trail looking at and judging the wonderful Jack O Lanterns throughout the trail.  We are looking to the public for carved pumpkin donations to be judged and prizes awarded.  The categories will be the scariest and best overall.

Ice Fishing

Begins at the Laconia Community Center then moving to the outdoor classroom for the real world setting.
Anyone welcome above the age of 8.

Santa's Calling

For the children who have the holiday spirit!!
Every year Santa comes to Laconia Parks & Recreation to call the kids of Laconia.  Please call our office to pre-register your children by November 28, 2014. 

   
   


Christmas Caroling

Wednesday, December 3rd, 6:00pm
FREE for any age
We will meet at the Community Center and drive to the Taylor Community to fill them with holiday cheer.
Don't worry forgetting the words, we provide them to you along with hot cocoa.  This is an outdoor event.  Bring a friend and a travel mug.  Call to register by December 1st.

Saturday & Sunday from 2:00~5:00pm
FREE with donations accepted & appreciated.  Come see Santa, Mrs. Claus and all their friends from the North Pole.

Hurray for the Holidays

Lets have some holiday fun at the Community Center.

Family Cookie Decorating

Thursday, December 11th from 6:00~8:00pm
$10.00 per family of 4, $2.00 each additional person
Moms and kids make a date and come decorate some sugar cookies.  Must register & pay br December 5th.

   
   


Snowman Contest

December 1st through March 1st.
Make a snowman with your family and take a picture of it.  Send the picture in to us by March 1st and possibly win a prize.

   
   


Sledding Party

Friday, January 23, 2015 from 6~8pm
Come sledding with the family under the lights on South Street.  We will have a bonfire, hot cocoa and cookies.  This is a FREE program, just come and play.  Weather & conditions permitting.

Ice Skating Party

Friday, February 6, 2015 from 6~8pm
FREE for any age at Memorial Park
Come skate under the lights and enjoy a bonfire to warm up by.
We will provide hot cocoa and cookies.

2ND ANNUAL CARDBOARD SLED RACING

Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 2pm at the Laconia Sledding Hill located at the end of South Street off Academy Street.
Make your own cardboard sled and race against others of roughly your own age.  There will be points for creativity and speed.  Come try your hand and see how fast you can be.
Prizes will be awarded for creativity and speed.
This is a FREE event, but registration is necessary by February 24th.
Age group will be 10 and under, 11~15 years old
Call to register at 524-5046 weather permitting.

 

 


Block out dates are October 1~4, 13, November 11, 14 through
